Slate + Salt Proves That Sustainable Doesn’t Necessarily Have to Mean Granola
March 07, 2017
Ethical fashion source Slate + Salt launched this week and proves that sustainable fashion isn’t just for the “granola” girl. The company focuses on preserving the traditional techniques of talented craftsmen, while being true to contemporary designs that appeal to modern women.
Slate + Salt joins the Slow Fashion Revolution, the idea of knowing where your products come from and who made them. “Our culture spends exorbitant amounts of money on fashion and aside from a tag that may read, “made in China,” most consumers have no idea what went into making their products. What effect did it have on the environment? Who made it? How were these workers treated and paid? The ugly truth is that most of our fashion is made in sweatshops,” says founder, Lyndsay Hugues.
The fashion industry is the second largest polluter of clean water in the world and workers are often paid as little as $2 a day to make clothing sold by many big...

The fabric used to make these bags is the same fabric firefighters wear every day to keep them safe. The only difference being, that the fabric is new, making it less expensive in labor costs to construct the bags.
Firefighter Turnout Bag’s reason for wanting to launch this additional line of bags was twofold. First, about 75-80% of firefighters in the United States are volunteers. The recycled bags are too expensive for some volunteers and cannot justify the purchase of one. Also, some people want to buy a bag for their child. But again, cannot jusify spending the money on somthing the child may loose or destroy. CBDCannabidiolMeds.com Announces New Treatment Advance for Chronic Sinusitis Sufferers
March 07, 2017
“Any effective treatment plan for chronic sinusitis must be able to deal simultaneously any of three different, possible causes, all of which are treatable with vaporized Cannabidiol oil (CBD) treatments in the patient's home: (1) bacterial infection; (2) viral infection; and (3) the most common cause (according to a Mayo Clinic research study) fungal infection caused by mold growing in warm, moist sinus cavities,” reports Phillip Fry, CBD consultant, Certified Environmental Hygienist, and webmaster of .
Physicians frequently and wrongfully guess that the patient's chronic sinusitis is caused by a bacterial infection within the sinuses; resultingly, such patients have been treated with antibiotics to fight the infection. A recent study by the Mayo Clinic concluded stated “antibiotics don’t help chronic sinusitis in the long run because they target bacteria, which are not usually the cause of chronic sinusitis.”
